City of Blair
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held on
Tuesday, June 30, 1987, at 12:00 noon in the City Council Chambers
of the City of Blair, Nebraska.
Members present were Martin, Beck, Rhoades and Duden. Member absent
was Carlson. Also present were Douglas Bullock, Wyman Nelson,
Blane Lemmons, Russell Musick and Eugene Deters.
Motion by Rhoades, seconded by Duden to approve the April 6, 1987,
minutes as written. All members present voting Aye, Chairman Martin
declared the motion carried.
Russell Musick presented his application for a.Variance at 1556 Grant
Street for construction of a garage. A note from L. Bain requesting a
survey of the lot -was read. Mr. Musick is agreeable to the survey.
There were also concerns regarding drainage of water from roof. Mr.
Musick agreed to drain spouts and guttering. Rhoades made a motion
to grant the variance that the closest point of the building be at
least one foot from the property line. This is approved on the
condition that a certified survey be provided to the Blair City
Building Inspector. Duden seconded the motion. All members present
voting Aye, Chairman Martin declared the motion carried.
Eugene Deters was present for his application for a Variance to
construct an addition to his existing garage within two feet of the
lot line. Motion by Duden, seconded by Duden, that this Variance
be approved subject to proper location of the line by a certified
surveyor. All members present voting Aye, Chairman Martin declared
the motion carried.
There being no other business at this time, Chairman Martin declared
the meeting adjourned.
