PPsent at the meeting were Jim Martin, Kenneth Rhoades, Margaret Beck, Bob Duden and Bob Carlson. Also attending the meeting were Doug Bullock, Wyman Nelsen, Blaine Lemons and Dr. Gordon Kuether. Motion to approve the minutes of the July 23, 1986, as written, was made by Rhoades, seconded by Beck and carried. The purpose of this meeting was to consider the application for a Variance Permit for Dr. Gordon Kueteher for construction of a car port on the exist- ing garage to the rear of his property. The request was for a 2 foot variance of the 3 foot side yard requirement. Carlson was concerned aboutthe water run-off from the structure. The neighbor's yard to the West as well as the neighbor's to the South are lower than Kuehter's rear yard property. Bullock discussed the water flow could be controlled by gutters to drain on Kuehter's backyard and driveway, and not the neighbors. Dr. Kuether said he would see that guttering would be included in the contract. Blaine Lemons is to see that this drainage problem will be taken care of. After the discussion by all concerned, and there were no other questions, President Martin asked for the motion. Rhoades made the motion to grant the variance requsted by Dr. Kuether, subject to the approval of Lemons to see that the water runoff from the carport would flow to the East of the structure.
