1986-05-14MINUTES OF MEETING CITY OF BLAIR BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held on Wednesday, May 14, 1986, at 12:00 noon, in the Council Chambers of the City -of Blair, Nebraska. Present for the meeting were Duden, Beck, Martin, Rhoades and Carlson. A. J. Snowbeck was also available as an Alternate. Also present were Wyman Nelsen, Blaine Lemmons and Phil Rolland. First Order of Business was to elect a new President for the Board of Adjustment. Motion was made by Ken Rhoades to elect Jim Martin as President, seconded by Margaret Beck, and carried. The Mayor has appointed Margaret Beck and Ken Rhoades to the Board previously to succeed Gene Megrue and Russ Mosemen who asked to be relieved of their duties on the Board of Adjustment. The purpose of the meeting was to hear the Application for a Variance by Phil Rolland to place a duplex on the piece of property known as Lot 10 and 11, Block 39, City of Blair. The State of Nebraska forces the removal of the duplex located on the Southeast Corner of 19th & Front Street, in Blair. Rolland also owns the ground of Lots 10. and 11, Block 29, and is asking for a 2 ft. variance on the lots he plans to place the duplex on. A discussion was held and Attorney Wyman Nelsen and Blaine Lemmons had no objections to the variance as well as the Board. A motion to grant the Variance was made by Bob Duden and seconded by Margaret Beck. A vote of all Ayes received in favor of the motion.
