CITY OF BLAIR
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held October 28,
1982, at 12 noon, in the Council Chambers of the City Hall for the purpose
of a hearing to consider the two Applications for Variances on two pieces
of property, requested by Larsen Enterprises, Inc. (LeRoy Larsen), owner.
Members present were Duden (who presided over meeting), Murdock, Martin and
Carlson. Alsp present were City Administrator Bullock, City Inspector
Blaine Lemmons, and Attorney John O'Hanlon, representing Larsen Enterprises,
Inc.
Variance Request No. 1, to vary the Minimum Lot Width of the East 52 ft. of
lot 5, Block 70, City of Blair, Washington County, Nebraska (Grant Street),
from 60 ft. to 52 £t.:
Lemmons explained this piece of property exceeded the minimum square
feet required in this neighborhood. Mr. O'Hanlon explained Mr. Larsen
does not have all the signatures of the neighbors for said approval
Motion to approve the Variance Permit, provided Mr. Larsen would get
100% approval of the present property owners signature within 100 ft.
of said property, and also that the house would meet all the set -back
and side regulations that are in the existing City Code, was made by
Martin and seconded by Duden. Vote revealed three ayes (Duden, Martin
and Carlson; one Nay (Murdock)., motion carried.
Variance Request No. 2, to vary the Minimum Lot Width of Lot 3, Block 9,
in Dexter's First Addition to the City of Bla it , Washington County,Nebr-
asks, from 60 ft. to 50 ft. s
Mr. O'Hanlon explained that Mr. Larsen did not have all the signa-
tures of all the neighbors approving this request on said piece of
property.
Motion was made by Duden to approve the Variance Permit, provided
Mr. Larsen would get 100% approval,of the present property owners
signatures within 100 ft. of said property, and also that the house
must meet the set -back and side regulations that are in the existing
City Code; seconded by Martin (vote - 3 Ayes - Duden; Martin and
Carlson; 1 Nay - Murdock); motion carried.
