1982-08-30MINUTES OF THE MEETING CITY OF BLAIR BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held Monday, August 30, 1982, at 12:00 noon, for the purpose of hearing the application for a Variance Permit for Trinity Lutheran Church members to erect a chain-link fence within two feet of the city sidewalk on the north and east sides of the church property at 20th and Washington streets. Legal description being Lots 1 and 2 of Block 42 Sixth Addition in the City of Blair, Washington County, Nebraska. Members present were Megrue, Duden, Murdock, Martin, and Snowbeck. Also present were City Clerk, Bull and Mr. Roy Rogers. City Clerk, Bull reported that City Engineer, Whitaker had checked with. the State Department of Roads as to right-of-way on Hi -way 91. Larry Hagen, Permit officer for District No. 2, said the State had not purchased any right-of-way on Washington Street and that the City was free to issue a variance if they chose to do so. A motion to grant the variance with the stipulation that if the right- of-way is ever needed by the City or the State, the Church will be responsible for removing the fence was made by Murdock and seconded by Duden.
