1981-06-25MINUTES OF THE MEETING CITY OF BLAIR BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held Thursday, June 25, 1981, at 7:00 P.M., for the purpose of hearing a variance request by the following: Janyce Jay, fence at 867 North 26 Ave.; Dan Short, fence at 434 North 19th St; and Dorena Walker, separate duplex into two single units. Members present were Magrue, Duden, Snobeck and Carlson. Absent were Martin and Murdock. Also present were City Admr. Bullock and Attorney W. Nelson. In the audience were Dorena Walker and Janyce Jay. Item #1 - (fence at 867 North 26 Ave., Blair): Decision wad to allow the fence as is constructed as It is within the Lot lines and to allow the variance of the 8 ft. height. Motion was made by Duden, seconded by Carlson, and the four members voting in favor of the decision. (Attached is note signed by two neighbors of Janyce Jay; namely, Cheryl Cates and Ed Schwartz.) Item #2 - (fence at 434 North 19th St., Blair): Motion was made by Snobeck and seconded by Duden to allow the variance and leave the fence as is with the understanding that if the State ever widens 19th Street, the above property owner would have to remove the fence at his own expense. Motion carried ® all four members voting in favor of motion. (attached is letter from Mr. Short advising he is on vacation plus two letters approving fence from neighbors; namely, Alta Marsh and Mrs. Lucy Petersen.) Item #3 - (separate duplex into two single units): Motion was made by Duden and seconded by Magrue to allow the variance of the side yard setback at said duplex. Motion carried - all four members in favor of said decision. There being no further business, motion was made by Duden and seconded by Snobeck that the meeting adjourn.
