CITY OF BLAIR
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
A meeting of the City of Blair's Board of Adjustment was held Monday,
October 20, 1980, at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of hearing two variance
requests, as follows:
1. Request by Bill Upchurch to add an addition to present
building at the Blair Meat Plant.
2. Request of Gene Baumert to construct a ,carport at
1445 Butler St., in Blair, Nebraska.
Members present were Megrue, Duden, Martin, Murdock and Carlson. Also
present were Bullock, Siert and O'Hanlon.
Present in the audience were Mr. and Mrs. Bill Upchurch, and Mr. Gene
Baumert.
Meeting was called to order by Megrue. Roll call showed all present.
Mr. O'Hanlon explained to all present the purpose of the Board of
Adjustment, and their responsibility to hear and act on all actions
brought before the Board.
Mr. Bill Upchurch explained his plans to enlarge because of crowded
conditions, and a need for expansion. A plan was shown (and attached)
and after questions were asked and answers were given, Megrue asked if
everyone understood the variance needed.
Duden then made the motion to accept the variance request by Upchurch.
Seconded by Carlson. 5 Ayes, n Nays. Notion carried.
Mr. Gene Baumert explained his variance request (drawing attached). No
objections heard.
Carlson made motion to accept the variance request by Baumert. Seconded
by Martin. 5 Ayes, 0 Nays. Motion carried.
There being no other business motion was made by Duden, seconded by Murdock,
that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried.
