BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
A meeting of the City of Blair Board of Adjustment was held
on October 31, 1978, at 2:09 P.M., to discuss a Building Per-
mit issued to Mrs. Paul Schneider for a carport at 1468 But-
ler Street, Lot 6, Hollostone Addition, City of Blair, Nebr.
The following members were present: Gene Megrue, James Martin
and Bob Carlson. Also present were Woodrow Svengard, Bob
Siert, Terry Bailey, Lyman Nelson, and Mr. and Mrs. Kennth
Radler.
Meeting was called to order by Gene Megrue. On August 22, 19789
the Schneiders met with the City Council and asked permission
for a two (2) foot concession from the 5 ft. lot line limit, to
construct a carport. This was granted by the Council and a
Building Permit was issued.
The Radlers said the carport was over the 2 ft. variance that
was allowed by the City Council, and Bob Siert, City Building
Inspector, checked it out and reported that more than two feet
had been used for the carport overhang.
After discussion, motion was made by Martin, seconded by Carlson
and carried as follows:
The Schneiders must stay within the 2 ft. limit grant-
ed by the City Council; the Schneiders must bring -the
overhang of carport, excluding the gutter within the 2
ft. limit. This work should be accomplished within 30
days from November 1, 1.978, under the direction of City
Building Inspector Robert Siert. Robert Siert is to
notify the Schneiders of the City of Blair Board of
Adjustment's decision.
There being no further business, motion was made by Carlson,
seconded by Martin, and carried, that the meeting adjourn.
