ORDINANCE NO. 2367
COUNCIL MEMBER HALL INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING AND EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR TO INCLUDE REAL ESTATE GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS PART OF
LOT 27, TRANSFORMATION HILL ADDITION, CITY OF BLAIR, WASHINGTON
COUNTY, NEBRASKA; PROVIDING FOR ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO BE REPEALED AND PROVIDING THAT
SAID ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT FOLLOWING PASSAGE
AND PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE IN PAMPHLET FORM.
WHEREAS, that parcel of real estate described in Exhibit "A" is adjacent and contiguous
to the current municipal corporate boundary and is urban or suburban in character, and
WHEREAS, Said real estate will receive material benefits and advantages from annexation
into the corporate limits of the City of Blair, and
WHEREAS, the owner has filed a letter requesting the property be annexed into the City
of Blair, and
WHEREAS, Nebraska Revised Statute Section § 16-117 allows Cities of the First Class to
annex property without the development of an annexation plan if the property owner requests
annexation in writing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. That the real estate hereinafter described in Exhibit "A" be, and the same is
hereby annexed and included within the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska, and said
real estate and the persons thereon shall hereafter be subject to all of the rules, regulations,
ordinances, taxes and all other burdens and benefits of other persons and territory included within
the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
