COUNCIL MEMBER ANDERSEN INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE CREATING SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION DISTRICT NUMBER 76
OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA; ESTABLISHING THE OUTER BOUNDRIES OF
SAID DISTRICT; DESIGNING THE SIZE, LOCATION AND TERMINAL POINTS OF THE
SANITARY SEWER LINES FOR SAID DISTRICT; AND REFERING TO PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATE OF THE ENGINEER IN CONNECTION THEREWITH
ON FILE WITH THE CITY CLERK; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCWS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE
SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AND PUBLISHED IN PAMPHLET FORM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR,
NEBRASKA,
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Council of the City of Blair, Nebraska, hereby find and
determine it is necessary and advisable to extend the municipal sanitary sewer system beyond the
existing system by the construction of a sanitary sewer main pursuant to the authority granted by
Section 19-2402 R.R.S. Neb. 1943. That said sanitary sewer main extension shall commence at
the existing sanitary sewer manhole as described in Section 3 hereof; that none of the properties
located within the Sanitary Sewer District hereby created are presently served by the City's
existing system of sanitary sewer service; and that all property within said District is either within
the corporate limits of the City of Blair or within one mile beyond such corporate limits.
SECTION 2. There is hereby created Sanitary Sewer District Number 76, the outer
boundaries of which are included in the following described real estate, to -
wit:
Lots 17, 19 — 26, and 28 - 57 of Transformation Hill subdivision and Tax
Lots 99, 111, 112, 425, 643 and 671 of Section 11, Township 18 North
Range 11 East of the 6th P.M.in the City of Blair, Washington County,
Nebraska.
SECTION 3. The size, location and terminal points of the proposed improvements for
Sanitary Sewer Extension District Number 76 are described as follows:
Size and Type of Material: Eight -inch (8") P.V.C. sewer main with concrete
manholes.
Location and Terminal Points: The location and terminal points of the
proposed improvements are extending from a point just east of 2445 College
Drive; thence southwesterly to Hansen Drive; thence northerly along 27th
Street to just north of the south lot line of Lot 19 of Transformation Hill
subdivision, and west of Hansen Drive along and to the end of Krejci
Boulevard, and beginning at 712 27th Street west to middle of Viking Circle
cul-de-sac.
SECTION 4. A more detailed description of the proposed improvements is shown on the
plans and specifications on file at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall,
City of Blair, 218 South 16th Street, Blair, Nebraska 68008. In addition, the
contract documents may be examined at the office of JEO Engineers 142
West 11th Street, PO Box 207, Wahoo, Nebraska 68066.
Said plans and specifications are hereby incorporated by reference as set
forth herein. Reference should be made to said plans and specifications for
the specific sizing of pipes and mains shown above.
SECTION 5. The engineers' estimate of total construction cost for the proposed sanitary
sewer improvements, as set heretofore filed with the City Clerk for Sanitary
Sewer District Number 77 is $534,070
SECTION 6. All ordinances or parts of ordnances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
