SECTION ONE,- That t.here be and herfS1'JY is levied and assess.ad upon all of the
taxable property within the corporate limits of the City of Blair
N~braska, for the fiscal year commencing on the first Tuesday in
May, 1924, the following sums, to-wit,-

That the same be levied and assessed against all the taxable,
property within. the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska,
and collected as other taxes as shown by the assessment rolls for
the year 1924. .
SECTION TWO.
That there be and hereby is, levied upon each and every Male
inhabitant of the City of Blair, Nebraska, between the ages of
twebty-one and fifty years, not exempted therefrom by statute or
ordinance of this City a poll-tax in the sum of Two Dollars ($2.00)
on each and every such Male inhabitant aforesaid. The said tax
shall be collected as provided by law for said fiscal year -
commencing on the first Tuesday in May, 1924.
SECTION THREE. This ordinance shall take effect and be of force from and after
its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.

Be it Ordained By The Mayor and City Council, Of
The City of Blair, Nebraska'
That Section 3 of ordinance number 361 of the City of
Blair, Washington County Nebraska, be and hereby is amended
to read as follows: .
SECTION 3 (RATES) The following rates shall be charged
based upon monthly consumption by each consumer, to-wit:

Provided, that all persons using electric current
for lighting purposes within the limits of said City shall
pay a minimum charge per month of $1.10, and all persons
using electric current for lighting purposes outside the
corporate limits of said City shall pay for said current
at the rate of 15 cents per K. W. Hour for all current uaed
each month and that the monthly charge for minimum use to each
of such persons shall be $2.50 and provided further, that all
persons using ~lectric current for power purposes shall pay
a mimimum each per month of fifty cents per one horse power
motor rating
Frovided also, that discount of ten per cent. shall
be allowed on all light and pow~r bills which are paid at
thA office of the City Light Commissioner not later than the
fifth day of each month; such discount shall not be allowed
on bill for current used for hAating and cooking purposes
All bills for current used by any person for any
purpose shall b9 due and ~~yable at the office of the City
Electric Light Commissioner on the first day of each calender
month.
Provide~ further, that the City Council shall have
the power and authority to contract with any person, persons,
or association or corporation, under the terms and conditions
of such contract whereby a special rate for the use of
current may be established; and when such con"tract is entAred
into such contract rate shall prevail with such person,
persons, association or corporation so contracted with, without
regard to the above and foregoing schedule; Provided further,
that the con"tract rate so made shall be uniform insofar as it

from the taxes levied for general revenue purposes for the present fiscal year,
commencing on the first Tuesday of May, 1924, and out of all available money or
funds therèfore belonging to said City, the amounts for each object and purpose
as follows:
Salaries for City Officials
Street, alley and bridge purposes
Fire Department and Apparatus
Miscellaneous and incidental expenditures
Printing and Publication
Expenses of Criminal and Civil suits
Payment of sewer assessments on City Property
Bayment of , paving assessment on City Property
Any balance of said funds remaining over and unexpended at the end of
year shall be transferred. to the general fmd.
Section 2. That there be and hereby is a~~ropriated out of the money derived
from the levy of taxes for parks and. park purposes for the aforesaid fiscal year
and out of any and all other moneys or funds available thereforet amounts for
