ORDINANCE NO. 2361
COUNCIL MEMBER WOLFF INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING ORDINANCE:
AN ORDINANCE DISCONNECTING FROM THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
BLAIR A PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS 10.56 ACRES BY A
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION AS A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IN THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10, TOWNSHIP
18 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST, OF THE 6TH P.M., IN THE CITY OF BLAIR, WASHINGTON
COUNTY, NEBRASKA, CONTAINING 10.56 ACRES, MORE OR LESS; PROVIDING FOR
ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH TO BE
REPEALED AND PROVIDING THAT SAID ORDINANCE SHALL BE IN FULL FORCE
AND EFFECT FOLLOWING PASSAGE AND PUBLICATION OF THIS ORDINANCE IN
PAMPHLET FORM.
WHEREAS, that parcel of real estate described above and as depicted in Attachment A
and Attachment B is adjacent and contiguous to the current municipal corporate boundary and is
rural and agricultural in character, and
WHEREAS, said real estate will receive material benefits and advantages from
disconnection from the corporate limits of the City of Blair, and
WHEREAS, the property owner has filed a letter requesting the property be disconnected
from the City of Blair, and
WHEREAS, Nebraska Revised Statutes §16-129 allows Cities of the First Class to
disconnect property from the corporate limits of the city if the property owner requests
disconnection from the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA:
SECTION 1. That the real estate hereinafter described be, and the same is hereby
disconnected from the corporate limits of the City of Blair, Nebraska, and said real estate and the
persons thereon shall hereafter not be subject to all of the rules, regulations, ordinances, taxes and
all other burdens and benefits of other persons and territory included within the corporate limits of
the City of Blair, Nebraska:
That the tract of real estate GENERALLY DESCRIBED AS 10.56 ACRES BY A METES
AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION AS A PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED IN THE
SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10,
TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST, OF THE 6TH P.M., IN THE CITY OF
BLAIR, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEBRASKA; BEING MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF
SAID SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 10,
TOWNSHIP 18 NORTH, RANGE 11 EAST, OF THE 6TH P.M., IN THE CITY OF
BLAIR, WASHINGTON COUNTY, NEBRASKA; THENCE S89°39'39"E (ASSUMED
BEARING) ON THE SOUTH LINE OF SAID SOUTHEAST QUARTER, A DISTANCE
OF 1166.47 FEET; THENCE N17°34'31"W, A DISTANCE OF 87.56 FEET; THENCE
N00058"36"W, A DISTANCE OF 147.75 FEET; THENCE N32°20'42"W, A DISTANCE
OF 50.00 FEET; THENCE N57°39'52"E, A DISTANCE OF 84.25 FEET; THENCE
N32020'08"W, A DISTANCE OF 141.93 FEET; THENCE S70°08' 16"W, A DISTANCE
OF 129.26 FEET; THENCE S83025'50"W, A DISTANCE OF 153.63 FEET; THENCE
N89°03' 19"W, A DISTANCE OF 80.01 FEET; THENCE S78039'44"W, A DISTANCE
OF 299.36 FEET; THENCE N60020'03"W, A DISTANCE OF 527.99 FEET TO THE
WEST LINE OF SAID SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER;
THENCE S00002'49"E ON SAID WEST LINE, A DISTANCE OF 573.82 FEET TO THE
POINT OF BEGINNING, CONTAINING 10.56 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, is hereby
disconnected from the Corporate Boundaries of the City of Blair, Washington County,
Nebraska.
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication as provided by law.
