REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT PROCESS BLIGHT AND SUBSTANDARD DECLARATION Made by City Council after public hearing and consideration of comments from Planning Commission Notices: P.02 7 1) Planning Commission has 30 days from receipt of proposal to submit comments (18-2109) 2) 2 weeks published notice before public hearing at Council; hearing scheduled at least 10 days after last publication (18-2109; 18-2115) 3) Written notice by mail to registered neighborhood associations and affected taxing jurisdictions at least 10 days before public hearing (18-2115) 4) Notices should include time, place, date, purpose of public hearing and a map of the area (18-2115) STEP 2: REDEVELOPMENT PLAN a. Prepared by Authority. Approved by City Council after specified hearings. Specific items to be include spelled out in 18-2111, 18-2113, If TIF to be used, must include cost -benefit analysis (18-2113) b. Entered into by Authority for redevelopment of a specific project in a redevelopment area b. Contract must be preceded by 2 weeks published notice inviting proposals (18- 2118) G. Contract must be preceded by 30 -days prior notice to City Council (18-2119) d.
