COUNCILMEMBER ANDERSEN INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Blair, Nebraska, that an
amendment to Article 2 Section 9 of the "Rules and Regulations" at the Blair Cemetery shall be
and are hereby amended as follows effective immediately, to -wit:
9. All cremations shall be buried pursuant to Nebraska Department of Health
Regulations. Internment utilizing above ground cremation enclosure/container may
be permitted by obtaining prior written authorization from the Cemetery
Superintendent. Such enclosure/container shall meet all Cemetery rules and
regulation for lot set back, lot coverage, and shall be placed in conformance with
regulations for monuments and markers,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force effect upon its
adoption and publication as provided by law.
COUNCIL MEMBER ANDERSEN MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCIL MEMBER WILLIS. UPON
ROLL CALL, COUNCIL MEMBERS SHEPARD, STEWART, WILLIS, HANSEN, WOLFF,
ANDERSEN AND HALL VOTING "AYE" AND COUNCIL MEMBERS NONE VOTING
"NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED AND
APPROVED THIS 13TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 2016.
