2016-25RESOLUTION NO. 2016 - 25
COUNCILMEMBER HANSEN INTRODUCED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:
WHEREAS, a special public hearing was held as required by law to hear and consider
comments concerning the property tax request for the current year for the City of Blair, Nebraska;
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Blair that the property tax request for
the current year be a different amount than the property tax request for the prior year.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BLAIR, NEBRASKA,
BY A MAJORITY VOTE, RESOLVES THAT:
(1) The combined property tax request for the City of Blair for the fiscal year
beginning October 1, 2016, is set at $.358163 per one hundred dollars of valuation
for the City of Blair, Nebraska. (General $.314077, Street $.035935, Debt
$.008151)
(2) The property tax levy set for the Airport Authority for the City of Blair, for the
fiscal year beginning October 1, 2016 which said levy is set at $.031315 per one
hundred dollars of valuation for debt service; and
(3) The City Clerk shall certify and forward a copy of this resolution to the County
Clerk prior to October 1, 2016.
COUNCILMEMBER HANSEN MOVED THAT THE RESOLUTION BE ADOPTED AS
READ, WHICH SAID MOTION WAS SECONDED BY COUNCILMEMBER WILLIS. UPON
ROLL CALL, COUNCILMEMBERS SHEPARD, STEWART, HANSEN, WILLIS, WOLFF,
HALL, JENSEN AND ANDERSEN VOTING "AYE", AND COUNCILMEMBERS NONE
VOTING "NAY", THE MAYOR DECLARED THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION PASSED
AND ADOPTED THIS 13TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 2016.
