BUILDING PERMIT DEPOSIT AGREEMENT
A $500.00 refundable deposit is being collected for any new commercial, new
residential, and any additions, remodels and accessory building valued $10,000 or
greater at the time of your building permit application.
A $200.00 refundable deposit is being collected for any residential remodel,
addition or accessory building valued under $10,000.
A $50.00 refundable deposit is being collected for all misc. permits.
The City reserves the right to not refund this deposit if any of the following
conditions occur during the construction period:
1) Theft of water service by the plumber, owner or general contractor.
2) All permits have not been obtained.
3) All required inspections have not been obtained.
4) Occupancy occurs prior to a final inspection.
5) The project is completed without a final inspection being done.
6) Storm Water Management Plan inspection not obtained. (If Required)
If any or all of these situations occur during construction, you may forfeit your
deposit.
I hereby agree to the above conditions, and understand that should any or
all of the above situations occur, the building permit deposit SHALL be forfeited or
discounted upon the discretion of the City of Blair, Building and Inspections
Department.

Below is an e -mail from Howard Wolfe, our building inspector, which will be going to Rory with Speedy patch
Drywall, Inc. regarding the Great Clips build -out at The Shoppes at Hayden place.
In reviewing the property with Howard, who was not on staff when the building construction began, we
determined that not everything currently required by the ADA regulations was required during construction.
We are not going to require everything to be done at this time, but with the addition of Great Clips into the
facility, we are asking for the following to be done before we will grant final occupancy for Great Clips:
1. Install ADA. Detectable Warning Mats at all ADA ramps going from the building to the parking lot.
These are available through a variety of dealers and in several different styles. We will not require a new
permit, but Howard will need to inspect these mats once they are installed.
We have not issued the building permit for Great Clips yet as we are waiting for additional information from
there. We will also hold the permit until we get acknowledgement and agreement from you regarding the ADA
Detectable Warning Mats.
Finally, any word yet on the lighting for the center identification sign?

I'll need the following information to review your plans:
1. Show on the plans the amount of outside air supply to each occupant (CFM's) as per Section 403 of the IMC.
2. Will hair salon do nails? If so, show on the plans, dedicated exhaust systems at the nail stations as per table 403.
3. Provide a letter from the owner indicating whether or not nails will be done.
Also, there are some concerns on the accessible walk from the public way and the curb ramps at the sidewalk in front of
the building. We will be talking to DKC about them. Your final cannot be completed until these ADA issues are resolved.

shall determine compliance of existing conditions.
