Good Afternoon Scott -This a-mail is to follow-up our recent phone
conversation regarding on-premise advertising signs.
Based on the information we discussed, it sounds like the signs you are
planning to erect are considered on-premise advertising signs. In other
words, the signs will be actually located on the property where that
business is located. These signs are considered Class IID signs within the
State of Nebraska's Sign Rules and Regulations. I am attaching a checklist
our personnel use when determining if a sign meets the criteria for a Class
IID sign. Class IID signs do not require a permit from the Nebr. Dept. of
Roads.
A complete set of our Sign Rules and Regulations, along with guidelines,
application forms, and maps showing all routes we control can be found on
our website at the link below. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you
have further questions. In addition, please be sure to check with all
local authorities for any requirements they may have regarding signs.
