construction. Areas under construction shall be separated from the existing building by one -hour fire rated construction.

2. Exits shall terminate directly at a public way or at an exterior exit discharge. A sidewalk that is free of obstructions or
impediments shall be provided to a public way. LSC 36/38.2.7, 7.7.1 (Amended)
3. Illumination in accordance with 7.8 is required for designated stairs, aisles, corridors, ramps, escalators, and

5. RE: Mechanical Room - Hazardous areas used for general storage, janitor closets, boiler or furnace rooms, and
maintenance shops, shall be enclosed and/or separated by a fire barrier that has a 1-hour fire resistance rating and
shall include a 45 minute rated self -closing, positive latching fire door. LSC 38.3.2.1, 8.7.1
