RE: Residential Building Permit Requirements
Dear Mr. Therkelsen,
You have obtained. several building permits in the City of
Blair for residential construction. In this process, you have not
given us ample time to approve a building permit before starting
construction, you have not requested or obtained final inspections
or obtained permanent service prior to allowing home owners to move
in, and you allowed a sub-contractor to straight pipe a water
supply instead of obtaining a water meter and establishing water
service.
Due to the above circumstances in failing to comply with the
building regulations setforth by the City, it is necessary to
forfeit your building permit deposits on Permit #6768 for Karen
Hunt and Permit #6873 for Kelly Ryan.
Both of these permits have been granted Temporary Occupancy
ONLY. You will need to arrange for a permanent final inspection on
the Hunt residence and Ryan residence no later than Friday, May 17,
1996. Failure to obtain a final inspection could result in action
requiring the owners to vacate until the final inspection is
complete and meets all code requirements.
Also, during construction of the Hunt residence, you obtained
