conditions beyond the scope of this code review.

Construction Type - V (000)
1. Where a required fire protection system is out of service for more than 10 hours in a 24-hour period, the impairment
coordinator shall arrange for one of the following:
(a) Evacuation of the building or portion of the building affected by the system out of service.
(b) An approved fire watch.
(c) Establishment of a temporary water supply.
(d) Establishment and implementation of an approved program to eliminate potential ignition sources and limit the
amount of fuel available to the fire.

2. All piping and attached appurtenances subjected to system working pressure shall be hydrostatically tested at 200 psi
(13.8 bar) or 50 psi (3.5 bar) in excess of the system working pressure, whichever is greater, and shall maintain that
pressure without loss for 2 hours. NFPA 13 24.2.1
3. After the systems have been installed, the completed Contractor's Material and Test Certificates for Aboveground and
Underground piping shall be provided to and accepted by the State Fire Marshal to receive final approval. This must be
done before the system is put into service. Title 153 Chapter 19 003.05
4. In order for the State Fire Marshal's Office to create a record of each system for tracking purposes, every water -based
fire protection system shall have a separate and distinct serial identification number. Each system shall be tagged with
a seal issued by the State Fire Marshal's Office. The seal shall be placed in a highly visible location. Each of the
following devices must bear a separate identification tag and corresponding serial number. Title 153 chapter 19 003.07
